This is an untouched field. In 1988 our botany team used to backpack a 12 volt battery in the rain forest because we knew that we could neutralize any snake venom if bitten. With development this could be a very promising alternative to what we do today for cancer patients. Great article, thanks!

I understand that the recommendation now is to use a taser on yourself right over the bite .

It's a lot easier to carry than a car battery ...

I never got bitten, so I never had to have both poles zap me. Neither sound nice, but it is better than dieing from the venom or infection in the middle of a wet, hot, teeming with insects et al forest. The potential to be able to help cancer patients is very exciting. The methods used today to keep patients alive will some day be called barbarism. But, it is all we have. The courage of cancer patients astounds me.

Thanks for the seed. I think there's a great deal of potential in this research.
